The Southern California Quarterly is a scholarly journal devoted to the publication of articles and edited documents relating to the history of Southern California, California as a whole, and the American West. The Quarterly welcomes contributions, not only by Society members, scholars, and researchers, but also by persons who are working in related disciplines and professions.
Manuscripts for consideration should be presented in 12-point font, double-spaced, and fully annotated. In matters of style, the Quarterly adheres to the Chicago Manual of Style (16th ed.). Manuscripts should be submitted by e-mail attachment, preferably in Microsoft Word format. Proposed illustrations should be submitted initially in low-resolution e-mail attachments or photocopied form.
